Birding walk

Birding walk and non-hierarchal knowledge sharing space for women, trans (trans men + trans women) and non-binary people. All experience levels and ages encouraged! Bring your binoculars or borrow some of ours. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Walks, taken at a slow pace, usually range between 1-2 miles and 2-3 hours. Every walk is different and each is catered to the unique needs of those attending. We encourage communication and want to offer accommodations; if you have special needs or requests please feel free to reach out to us! Email birdhers@gmail.com

Free, no rsvp, donations accepted

Please arrive on time. We’ll start with short introductions (name, pronouns and short answer to group prompt) and close out with an opportunity for community announcements, needs, events and questions.

Location: Tualatin River NWR (The visitors center is closed during gov shut down) Free parking. Unsure if bathroom facilities are open at this time. This is a little bit of a drive from Portland. If you would like to be added to the Signal (a messaging app) chat for carpools, please email your phone number to birdhers@gmail.com to be added. (this is a new system, thank you for your patience!)
